The Nurturing Center is a nationally accredited behavioral health center that provides counseling and guidance to individuals and families.
Parenting Support
Our family-focused support services help strengthen healthy relationships in order to prevent child neglect and abuse — and offer restorative therapy for victims and families in cases of abuse.
Mandated Services
While we offer counseling to everyone, some of our specific offerings, such as anger management, are only to individuals with a court mandate to receive specific care.
Evening & Weekend Appointments Now Available
We understand that many people need appointments in the evening or on the weekend to accommodate their schedules. We’re excited to offer flexible appointment times in addition to our normal business hours.

Attending therapy can be a scary thing. The Nurturing Center recognizes the strength it takes to make the decision to seek help and support. The Nurturing Center provides you with the opportunity to engage in a variety of services such as:
• Addressing symptoms related to mood disorders
• Problems in marriages or relationships
• Grief and loss
• Anger management
• Trauma
• Individual therapy
• Family therapy

We are happy to offer services to individuals and families of all ages. We serve youth and adults. We have no age limits as it is never too early or too late to seek support to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

When you arrive for the first session you will be asked to fill out appropriate paperwork and consent forms. You will meet with a qualified mental health professional who will ask you questions related to concerns you may be having and how we can help you. Coming to the first session can feel overwhelming or nerve-wracking however staff at The Nurturing Center want to provide you with the best services to enhance your daily life and move you towards accomplishing your goals.

The Nurturing Center accepts all MCO’s for South Carolina Medicaid. If insurance does not cover services fees are as follows:
Assessment and Intake: $154.00
Individual Session: $112.00
Family Session: $108.00
If you would like to utilize out-of-network insurance we are happy to provide you with an invoice to file with your insurance provider for reimbursement.

TNC is happy to offer bilingual services as needed. Please let the Admissions Coordinator know during your initial telephone call so we can better serve you.
